Weekend Wrap-up, June 10

Here at Unicorn Wealth, we like to keep you up to date on everything you need to know. If you tuned out this weekend, here’s what you might have missed:

Bruins Push Game 7

The Boston Bruins pushed the Stanley Cup Final to a seventh game, beating the St. Louis Blues 5-1. It was an embarrassing loss for the Blues, who had a chance to clinch their first ever Stanley Cup on home ice. But they’ve been strong after losses, so the series is far from over.

Raptors on the Brink of History

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors are one game from winning their first ever NBA Championship. With Kevin Durant on the shelf, the Golden State Warriors haven’t found an answer for Leonard, who will coast to winning Finals’ MVP as long as the Raptors win just one of the next three games.

David Ortiz Shot

Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz was shot in a nightclub in his native Dominican Republic over the weekend. Details on motive are unclear, but the suspect is in custody. The slugger is in stable condition.

Trump’s Tariffs Worked?

Fears over President Trump’s Mexico tariffs appear to be unfounded, as the two sides reached a deal on Friday on illegal immigration. With the right spin, this could end up as one of the biggest wins of his administration.

Democrats Storm Iowa

Meanwhile, the group of folks trying to knock Trump out of office took Iowa by storm over the weekend. The Hawkeye state has always been a critical primary battleground, as the Iowa caucuses are the first primary in the election cycle.

Stocks and Trading

Kraft Heinz is Fine

Kraft Heinz announced that it had completed an accounting investigation, and that it would be changing its financial practices going forward. Even though the report was months late, investors are still excited. Shares of the stock are up over four percent at this writing.
